Watermelon OG Auto is the result of crossing Watermelon OG, a strain created by breeding Melon Purple with Black OG, with ruderalis genetics. Doing so obviates the necessity of a reduction in (day)light hours to trigger the flowering stage as it occurs automatically due to the chronological age of the plants. Ruderalis plants developed this attribute as their natural home is in marginal climate zones with short growing seasons and such an attribute guarantees seed production for the next generation.

Auto strains tend to be robust and hardy growing well indoors and outdoors in a wide range of climate regions. Watermelon OG Auto seeds grow into medium-sized plants that grow to be 70 – 90 cm. tall indoors or 120 – 150 cm. outdoors. The life-cycle from seed to harvest is between 65 – 70 days. Indoors, yields are expected to be 450 – 500 gr/m². Growers will find attractive black and purple shades in the foliage towards maturity.
